Personally, I think summer time is the worst time to get a cold. In winter, I want to be snuggled up in bed, basically hybernating. I love to wear sweaters and socks and have a fire in the fireplace. And drinking hot chocolate or soup from a cup is just part of it all. In summer, who the heck wants to be in bed? Who wants to drink hot soup? Who wants to "sweat it out"?? I know, I know, anyone who knows me realizes I love to sleep. But that's at night and early in the morning. I hate actually HAVING to rest. I mean, c'mon, I got up and dressed and went to the store ONCE yesterday and it wiped me out! Today, I actually had plans to meet friends at the park. I am SO glad it rained, because let me tell you, once we went out to lunch (breaking our frugality for the sake of giving myself a break for this cold), I was wiped out again! Besides the fact that almost everyone that was supposed to be at the park is out of town, or wiped out from too many gatherings this week. Evan, who never seems to notice that he even might have a cold seems to have gotten it and gotten over it in about a day and a half. Philip isn't much bothered by it either. Tyler hasn't mentioned anything. Ed told me this morning he had a sore throat also. Hopefully this will pass right through and we can get on with our normal, (and yes, frugal) lives.
