OK, OK

So, maybe I was taking my stressful life out on the dog? It's better than taking it out on the kids right? Not that I think I should take out my stress on anyone or thing, but if it's got to come out on somebody, a dog is better than the kids, right? LOL. Anyway, I can always use an excuse to make myself something nice and new! I had a talk with Allie and explained to her that her "daddy" would be back in town soon and that I understand it's not her fault that she's wired to chew things and pee on our floors, but right now was not a time I could take it in stride. She seemed to understand, for the following day she very quietly sat in a patch of garden, (did I say quietly?!) for about 3 hours. Unheard of for her to go that long without barking when she is left apart from her pack! Today she peed on the carpet in the playroom, but hey, she's a dog right? Argh. It's been a long time since she's done that, and really my children should know by now to keep all the doors shut, and I think it has something to do with the fact that we've all been staying up late, therefore sleeping late, therefore she's not getting outside when she needs to. Anyway.

The good news is: We got an offer from Ed's company on our house today!! It is even higher than we expected, and we will be MAKING money on the sale of this house! Woohoo!!! I feel like I have been constricted at chest level and unable to relax until this morning when I got Ed's e-mail with the offer included. I am breathing a deep sigh of relief and going right into excited mode now! I am SO excited, and ready now to jump into looking at homes in Charleston! Yippee!!! So, after getting the news, the kids and I joined our Young Explorers Club for a day at EdVenture Children's Museum. We played in Snowville, learned about penguins, and one of my children got soaking wet in the water area. And, against the very wise advice of a friend, I did not bring a change of clothes for them! And can you guess who it was? The one that nobody else's clothes will fit on! The almost 9 year old, who never gets away with anything "childish" just couldn't resist playing in the water, even dunking his head into the boat racing structure. LOL! He was very happy with himself, and I quite impressed my self by realizing I could just put my Yoga mat (barely used for anything these days anyway!) on the seat beneath him and all was smooth! What a lovely day! :)

Dude, the fact that you didn't kill the dog is a miracle IMHO based on the amount of time you spent making those socks!! A little anger is not unexpected in a situation like that!

Sounds like you had fun at EdVenture. We need to get together. Next week maybe?
